About Reema

I’ve been a Personal Trainer since 2014 and have always been passionate about health, fitness, and nutrition. I love variety in movement, whether it’s hiking, running, HIIT, weight training, yoga, or Pilates. I believe that balance is the key to everything. It’s a principle I try to live and work by. My fitness career began after years of friends and family telling me how motivated and supported they felt around me.

Their feedback made me realise that my passion could also be my profession. I started out in commercial gyms, teaching classes and delivering one to one personal training. Working with such a wide range of people, all with different needs and abilities, gave me invaluable experience and shaped my approach to coaching. I’ve always believed that to truly succeed as a Personal Trainer, you have to genuinely care about people.

Skills and knowledge can be learned, but real care, empathy, and people skills come from within, and that’s what creates long term, meaningful client relationships. When lockdown began, I moved my clients to virtual and outdoor sessions, and I still offer these when needed. It’s been a great way to make fitness more accessible and to help clients stay consistent.

I also work at a fantastic private gym in the North East of England, where I support clients of all ages and abilities, including those with additional needs and disabilities. Helping people achieve things they once thought were impossible is the most rewarding part of what I do. I especially believe in the importance of weight training for longevity, particularly for women and older adults.

Alongside personal training, I now work with Create PT as a Personal Training Qualification Assessor. It’s been an amazing opportunity to use my experience to guide and support future trainers as they work towards their qualifications. Despite technology definitely being my weakness (right after Ferrero Rocher!), I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone and will continue in embracing this role.

In my own training, I mainly focus on weight training with a bit of running to support my other hobbies especially hiking. I love being outdoors; there’s nothing quite like fresh air and nature. Living in the beautiful North East of England means I’m surrounded by coastlines, countryside, hills, and forests. The Lake District is not too far away either to get my mountain fix.

This year I set myself the challenge of walking the entire Northumberland coastline and I’m almost there! Outside of work and training, I’m a proud cat mum to Oreo and Amouri, and I’m constantly trying to improve my plant parenting skills!

Skills and knowledge can be learned, but real care, empathy and people skills come from within. That's what creates long-term, meaningful client relationships.
