The Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing is the entry-level qualification for working on the gym floor in the UK. We don't sell it on its own. We build the full Level 2 content into our Personal Training Diploma, so you qualify for the gym floor and as a personal trainer in one journey, at no extra cost.
Traditionally, Level 2 has been taught as a standalone course, with Level 3 sold separately later. We looked hard at where that leaves people. Most learners who start at Level 2 want to become personal trainers. The two-step route adds cost, adds time, and leaves a gap between qualifying and earning properly.
So we changed it. Everything in the Level 2 content is now built into our Personal Training Diploma. You move through it as one journey, you don’t pay twice, and you finish ready to work as a personal trainer, not just ready to pass an exam.
To work as a personal trainer in the UK, you need a Level 3 Personal Trainer Diploma. Both qualifications must be Ofqual-regulated. Most reputable gyms also ask for current first aid and public liability insurance.
