Save my placeBe the reason someone walks out of the gym more confident than they walked in. The UK's only combined Level 2 and 3 Diploma, mapped to CIMSPA professional standards. Study around the job you have now, learn at your own pace and qualify in a timeframe that suits you. You could be earning in as little as 3-6 months.

The Level 3 Personal Training Diploma is where most fitness careers begin. This is not a standard Level 3 PT course. It is one continuous, integrated programme designed to help you become a confident, capable personal trainer. Instead of completing a Level 2 and Level 3 separately, you move through one structured journey that builds your knowledge, judgement and application step by step. You learn how to coach real people, make decisions, and adapt your approach in real scenarios. This course is designed for people who want to work as personal trainers, not just qualify. If you want to feel ready when you step onto the gym floor, start your own business , or build a long-term career in fitness, this is your starting point. You will leave with more than a qualification. You will leave knowing how to do the job. This is the first and currently only Level 3 Personal Training course that is mapped directly to the CIMSPA professional standards.
You have probably had the thought on a Sunday night. That you are good with people. That you already spend your own money on training. That the job you go back to tomorrow is not really going anywhere. Most people who enrol here sat with that thought for about a year first, so this section is the part that settles it, in both directions.
Bought separately, anatomy gets taught twice and so does the gym professional unit. Here it is one continuous diploma, so nothing is repeated and nothing is bolted on. Fifteen modules, in the order you actually need them.
Build the knowledge that sits behind every coaching decision. Learn how the body moves, how muscles and joints work, how energy is produced, and how exercise affects the body, so you can coach with confidence rather than memorising information.
Learn the key training principles that underpin effective programme design, including overload, recovery, adaptation, progression, and the FITT principle. This module explains why training works and how results are created.
Learn how to gather meaningful information from clients through consultations, goal setting, and assessments. You will explore measurements, barriers to exercise, motivation, and how to turn information into action.
Begin creating structured programmes for beginner clients. Learn exercise selection, movement balance, session structure, and how to build safe and effective training plans.
Access to a library of movement categories and coaching inspiration that can be used throughout the qualification and beyond.
Develop the foundations of great coaching. Learn exercise teaching techniques, cueing, demonstrations, session flow, spotting, and how to coach someone through their first successful training experience.
Learn what happens beyond simply delivering exercise. Explore health and safety, gym floor professionalism, risk management, client care, and how to operate confidently within a real fitness environment.
Move beyond basic programmes and learn how training evolves over time. Explore progression strategies, programme extension, overload methods, and how to keep clients moving forward.
Develop stronger coaching decisions and communication skills. Learn how to adapt your approach, improve cueing, and coach with purpose rather than relying on scripts.
Learn practical nutrition principles that support health, body composition, and performance. Explore energy balance, food quality, behaviour change, and nutrition guidance within your professional scope.
Take nutrition into real coaching scenarios by learning how to assess habits, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide realistic recommendations clients can actually sustain.
Take ownership of the consultation process. Learn advanced questioning, posture screening, fitness testing, and how to gather and interpret information confidently.
Learn how to create longer term programmes using advanced programming concepts such as periodisation, progression models, and structured training phases.
Develop the ability to think like an experienced coach. Learn movement analysis, coaching corrections, problem solving, and how to justify decisions using evidence and reasoning.
Learn the foundations of building a sustainable career as a personal trainer, including branding, client experience, marketing, onboarding, financial basics, and professional identity.
Extra material you can take at any point, or come back to later. It does not make the route longer.
You finish withFocus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training
You finish with the Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, which is Ofqual regulated and mapped to CIMSPA professional standards. It is the qualification employers ask for and the one insurers require before you can take your own clients. Both the Level 2 and the Level 3 are covered, so there is nothing else to take before you can start working.
There are none. You do not need a Level 2, any prior qualification, or a particular level of fitness. You need to be 16 or over, and you need to be prepared to put the hours in. Finance requires you to be 18, so under that it is pay in full or somebody over 18 takes the plan on your behalf.
A mix of online theory papers, written coursework and practical assessment, spread through the course rather than saved for the end. Nothing is sprung on you: you learn a thing, you practise it, then you are assessed on it. Marking comes back within 72 hours with a recorded walkthrough from the tutor who marked it, so you know why rather than just what.
Drag the deposit and the term. Every figure updates, including the total you would pay by the end.
The only provider in the UK to offer it. Not a trial period. Not credit towards something else. Your money back.
98.8% of learners rate the course as satisfactory or better. A qualification people do not rate is not worth selling, so if the course does not do what we say it does, we should not be keeping your money.
You have 14 days from the day you enrol to change your mind, for any reason. Fully online courses keep the full 14 days. Where a course includes in-person elements and you attend one inside the 14 days, the cancellation right ends at that point.
A separate promise that applies once you have completed the course. It is not a cancellation right and it is not affected by the 14 day period. Both exist, and you do not have to choose between them.
Self paced is not the same as on your own. The difference between finishing and drifting is usually whether anybody noticed you had stopped.

No. This diploma integrates Level 2 and Level 3 into one continuous programme, so you can start with no prior qualification and finish fully qualified to work as a personal trainer. There are no other entry requirements, e.g. minimum age or fitness prerequisites.
It’s the qualification required to work as a personal trainer. Ours goes further than a tick-box course — it prepares you to apply your knowledge in real situations and to build a career you can grow over time.
It’s built around preparing you for real work, not just passing assessments — you learn before you’re assessed and build skills through real scenarios. The course goes well beyond what is required as the industry standard, with employers recognising Create graduates as a higher standard than other training providers.
You’ll get fast, human support throughout — most queries answered the same day and always within 24 hours — plus personalised video feedback from your tutor on assessments within 3 working days (the fastest in the industry). Support is a big part of what sets the course apart.
