I've spent my career working out how businesses grow online, and how the right marketing helps people find what they're looking for. That interest started young. I built websites and blogs from an early age and was running my own projects long before it became a job. I wanted to understand how businesses attract, engage and keep the people they serve.
My agency years sharpened that thinking. I worked with more than 100 businesses across different industries, leading campaigns spanning SEO, paid media, content, web design, branding, email and analytics, and managing large ad spends. I learned what separates marketing that works from marketing that doesn't, and built a strong grounding in websites, customer journeys and lead generation.
The move to the fitness industry brought all of that into an industry I care about. Working across fitness qualifications, nutrition, career development and learner recruitment, I helped more people find careers in health and fitness. I went on to lead the marketing team for both B2C and B2B audiences, growing lead generation, improving website conversion, and managing teams, budgets, systems and reporting.
Across the range of education businesses I have worked, my work has covered fitness education, personal training and nutrition qualifications, apprenticeships, digital skills, leadership development and employer training. Along the way I built a reputation for connecting strategy, technology and delivery, and for making marketing more effective without losing sight of the people on the other end.
After time spent across the wider education sector, I chose to come back to fitness. The reason is simple. This is an industry that changes lives, and I wanted to spend my time helping people build careers they enjoy while improving their own health and the health of others. That's what matters most to me. Helping people find opportunities they didn't know existed.
Making education and career development something more people can reach. Supporting people to build confidence through learning. I care about the numbers. I care more about what the work does for real people. Outside work, I'm dad to Lewis and partner to Jon. I stay active and work on my own fitness, enjoy long walks, gaming and films, and spend as much time as I can with family.
I'm naturally curious, always keen to understand how things work and how they could work better.
